What and WHY?

Inspired by the Friday Knights Hunger Bowl annual football game between Reitz Memorial High School and Mater Dei High School in Vanderburgh County, the Gibson County Knights of Columbus have started their own Hunger Bowl between Princeton Community High School and Gibson Southern High School.

The Hunger Bowl’s focus is to raise funds for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry to feed the hungry of southwestern Indiana including Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Gibson Counties.

Over the last eight years, over $130,000 has been raised through efforts in Evansville of the area Catholic Grade and High Schools, the ten area Knights of Columbus councils, at the football game and donations from the community. Each school and K of C council determines how they raise funds. As successful as we have been, the needs continue to grow and more help is needed. That’s where you come in – Donate Today!
