The Evansville District of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is looking for donors to sponsor its eighteenth annual “Friends of the Poor” Walk on September 27, 2025. Donations from sponsors fund the operations of the District Council in its support of the district’s nineteen conferences, food pantry and thrift store. The District of Evansville covers Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties, and the southern end of Gibson County. This year’s fundraising goal is $40,000.
During last fiscal year alone, members of St. Vincent de Paul in the Evansville District provided $680,000 in direct assistance to over 13,000 individuals we helped with rent, utilities, and other essentials. 338 tons of food were provided to 31,000 individuals. Clothing, furniture, beds, and household items were provided to those in need at minimal or no cost. Most importantly, the visits and calls from our Vincentians bring prayer, kindness and hope to those in need.

Sponsorship deadline is Friday, August 29, 2025. The Evansville District Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to organizations with 501(c)(3) status may be tax deductible.
