Staying Ahead

As an extension of the “Getting Ahead” program offered by St. Vincent de Paul in Evansville, in which participants begin to build the resources and skills necessary to move from poverty to self-sustainability, we now provide “Staying Ahead” to graduates. The purpose of Staying Ahead is to provide ongoing support and resources to Getting Ahead graduates to help them maintain their momentum and navigate the path toward their future story. The group-led learning agenda allows participants to pursue diverse goals, such as continuing education, career development, and general self-improvement. We also offer opportunities to help graduates build a network of mentors, friends, and social connections in the community.
